First, search for a word that you want to practise – like “comfortable” – listen to the first speaker and then copy the pronunciation.

There are various controls that help you to listen and understand. You can repeat the sentence or go back 5 seconds to get more context. When you’re ready, move on to the next speaker. There are usually hundreds of examples.

You can also choose different accents: there are options for British, American or Australian English below the search box.

YouGlish is useful for checking collocations and phrasal verbs too. If you don’t remember the difference between “look for” and “look after”, search for examples and the context will help you to see the difference. Try it!
